Tinderbox Collective: Schoolhouse of the month (November)

We are lucky to work with some of the most creative and ingenious teachers you can find. Here, you'll discover the amazing work that our Schoolhouse do. Each month we'll be featuring one of our Schoolhouses, so you can learn more about this amazing community of schools and colleges. 

First up, we have Tinderbox Collective. 

Tinderbox Collective is a community of young people, musicians, artists and youth workers, based in Scotland. Tinderbox Collective joined Digital Schoolhouse in 2021, and have proudly become our first Scottish Schoolhouse!

How long have you been a Digital Schoolhouse?

This is our first year so just a few short months!

What video game/ game are you currently enjoying?

Our young people have been telling us they're enjoying Animal Crossing, Hollow Knight and Roblox! We've also had a bit of discussion going on how good the Rayman, Undertale & Mario music is. 

Personally myself, I'm looking forward to playing Moonglow Bay... 

What do you love about being a teacher?

The chance to share knowledge, see new ideas flourish, and create something exciting!

What was your favourite light-bulb or creative moment as teacher?

Seeing young people we have worked with developing and designing their own game levels - there is so much creativity at play!

What are you most looking forward to this year as a Schoolhouse?

Bringing more game design & coding opportunities to our young people, and further developing our own workshops.
