Woking High School
Woking High School is a Digital Schoolhouse and we are looking forward to work with both students and teachers with the inspiring and challenging world of Computer Science problem-solving.
We are also a Computing at Schools (CAS) Community, National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) in Surrey and the surrounding area, a Barefoot hub, a Lead School in the Network of Excellence as well as
With a focus on challenges, problem-solving, we aim to deliver a Computing curriculum which develops students understanding of computational thinking through the use of both plugged and unplugged activities.
Woking High is an 11 - 16 school in Woking-Surrey.
Workshop days and hours
We are currently offerin y every other Monday between 13:30 and 15:30 (Starting from Monday 3rd October 2019).
The sessions can be held as:
- Location: at Woking HighSchool or at your school, based on your prefernce and requirments.
- Length: can be anything from 30 mintues to the whole two hours.
- Session can be led either by you; and supported by DSH lead teacher; or can be led by DSH lead teacher.
4 Computing rooms, with 32 PC in each room.
We have Raspberry Pi's and Micro:bit devices ready to use. We use 1 of the networked Computing rooms for Digital Schoolhouse sessions.
Some of the sessions will be held in the library, main hall or the computing rooms dpeneding on the nautre of the task booked.
