Computing across continents: DSH land in Africa
First Belgium, then Turkey, now Nigeria. Digital Schoolhouse has been flying its metaphorical computational thinking flag across continents over the past week or so, and our latest stop in Lagos sees director Shahneila Saeed speak at the Union Bank’s edu360 conference.
‘Education beyond walls’ is the theme of this year’s event which includes an exhibition, experiential learning, conferences and training. Coined Nigeria’s foremost annual gathering of students, teachers, parents, school leaders, education enthusiasts, industry leaders and influencers, we’re incredibly excited to be delivering our trademark playful computing activities to audiences overseas.
Early this week, Digital Schoolhouse featured in the European Schoolnet and ISFE’s “Games in Schools” event, coinciding with the EU code week which aims to engage attendees in the discussion on learning by play for a digital society.
We also participated in the MOV-UP international conference on early childhood education in Istanbul; delivering a hands-on interactive session to fellow delegates on our unique play-based approach to learning the Computing curriculum.
