The Big Bang fair will be taking place from Wednesday 16th March to Saturday 19th March this year. It is the UK's largest celebration of STEM subjects, and the Digital Schoolhouse is proud to announce its support and presence at the show.
We're incredibly excited about the four day event, and look forward to representing the Computing and Tech industries with an amazing lineup of speakers and presenters across the four days.
The Mayor of London has launched a new £5m programme, which will fund access to digital skills for young people across the Capital, ensuring the future of the London's thriving technology sector. Alongside this programme was the release of the Computing Curriculum Guide, which the Digital Schoolhouse and Ukie are proud to have collaborated with the London Enterprise Panel (LEP) and the Education Foundation thinktank to produce.
This special event is being organised in partnership with Albion on 19th & 20th October. With a keynote delivered by Apple to kick start the event, it looks like an exciting couple of days are in store.
Computing is fun and learning through play is a great way to both teach and learn computing. Therefore, we have begun to extract and separately document some of the standalone activities that have been working so well in our workshops. Each activity is designed to be a short, fun and unplugged way to introduce an important computing concept (or two).
Suitable for almost all age groups, the sky is the limit with the range of possibilities for our extendable play based activities.
